Little Reflection

1. What are the discoveries/learnings that I have learned?
For this grading period, I have discovered and learned about notepad. It's quite easy for me because all you have to do  is to copy the tags the teacher has to give you. It's interesting, indeed. And of course, blogging can't be gone. One of the most important requirement for this subject is posting blogs. We are now used to it and we are really thankful for it.
2. What are the problems/challenges that I have encountered?
It is normal to encounter problems and challenges but what really made me stressed was the drafts, which I pass to our teacher late and she won't check it anymore. I've learned now that I will make drafts early so that our teacher will be able to read and check it.
3. How did I address these challenges?
I was able to pass these challenges by again taking it as a challenge for me to strive harder in my studies. Praying to God is the best solution of all challenges. And also, I am now starting to study really harder in my studies after the challenges I've encountered.

My Teacher, My Hero

We talk about heroes this time. Lots of people can be considered as a hero. It's not the superheroes but the people surrounding us who are helping us on our way to the brighter road.

A teacher has always been by our sides teaching us lessons. They are next from my parents as my ultimate heroes. I have met lots of teachers since then. There is a strict one, kind, strong, acts like my parents, feeler, beautiful, sexy, respected and much more. Even if they are strict to us, I know that they are just scolding us because they want us to be more matured and they want us to be professionals someday. They also sacrifice for the sake of their pupils, more like their children, and of course, for their selves. They sleep late and wake up early, they come to school even on weekends, they have many works to do.
So we must appreciate the work they are showing even if they scold us. They are just stressed with so much work and we, pupils, are even joining the mess in their heads. So, we thank them and feel the love they show.
My Modern Hero

Everyone of us has her own hero. It can be a teacher, a friend, an animal, or someone who had helped her in some things. But most of us, like me, consider her parents as her hero.
Of all people in this world, I find my parents as the best hero. Just imagine that since we were still so little, they were beside us supporting our needs. And until now, they are still there caring for us. My parents can never be compared to someone or something, even golds or diamonds. I am proud of them no matter what. There are people who hadn't felt the love and care from their parents and I am so lucky to have felt and feel theirs. Sometimes, I am being stubborn to them. I feel hatred when they won't do the things I ask them even if it's only a little thing.
So, even if I am spoiled, I can still feel their love for me because they have helped me with my problems and on my weakest times. I feel lucky in their arms and that God has given responsible and strong parents.

"Ang Wika Natin ang Daang Matuwid"

They say at all times that if one applies his own language in a speech, his being patriotic is visualized, his world will be led to the right way. But it doesn't mean that if you betray your language, you are not into your country.

So if you use your own language, you will get to the way where everything surrounding you is right as we said earlier. It's in fact the truth. But as we said again, using another language will also do. But "our own is way better."

Reflection

1. What are the discoveries/learning that I have learned or gained?
The discoveries that I have learned are all about the history of Internet which different inventors are now familiar to me. We also learned everything about blogs. All of us have our own blogs now and we even made posts. It was very helpful to us, students, who are illiterate when it comes to technology.

2. What are the problems/challenges that I have encountered?
The problems/challenges I have encountered in learning are those that are related to memorizing the different acronyms and their meanings. It must have been the casue of my score in our examination, which is low. Another is that it is very difficult to make a post especially when we don't know the subject and don't know what to write/compose.
3. How did I address these challenges?

I was able to pass these challenges by taking it as a challenge for me to strive harder in my subject, by asking help and guidance from the Lord and by trying my best to study my lessons.

President Benigno Simeon Aquino III's Fourth SONA

President Benigno Simeon “PNoy” Aquino III delivered his fourth State of the Nation Address in Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City on July 22, 2013 with the theme, “Sa Gitna ng Daang Matuwid.”

The address was the longest SONA he had delivered compared to his SONA before. It started at exactly 4:03 PM and ended at 5:46 PM, receiving 88 times of applause from Government officials, media and others who attended in the address. In my own opinion, President Aquino was successful in sending the complete development of his administration and getting the trust of the Filipino people in the government, and his SONA demonstrated the confidence he has with his actions. However, I thought that the speech was too long, I felt that he delivered all he wanted to say like the Cybercrime Act, passage of Freedom of Information bill, and the P10 Billion pork scam. He should’ve mentioned about the scam with a reduction of time for anti-corruption is his main reason in the”Daang Matuwid proposal.

And we all know that the President can’t change the country all by himself, and about his theme, it is very admirable. We must support his plans so that we can completely feel the act of economic expansion of his administration. Also, we must stay full of life in influencing him to be real to his promise of shortening corruption that is consuming most of our government’s funds.

"Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan"

The 39th Nutrition Month celebration focuses on hunger with the theme "Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama-sama nating wakasan" (Hunger and Malnutrition, Let's end it together). The theme is directing to increase consciousness on hunger issues, and actions to lessen hunger and malnutrition, encourage stakeholders to contribute to addressing hunger issues, and support for stronger political action to end hunger.

It is focused on hunger because of two reasons, first, hunger is one of the worst types of deficiency because people do not enjoy their necessary right to food. And second, hunger rate in the Philippines has worsened in recent years. What do we mean by hunger? It is a state in which people do not get enough food to provide the nutrients needed for fully productive, active and healthy lives. Prolonged hunger can lead to malnutrition and even death. When we travel to Africa, we will encounter numerous people who are malnourished, especially children, who must be the ones to have better production.

That is why this celebration wants to stop hunger and malnutrition. When we say "Let's end it together," we in truth end it. There is no hunger when people have physical access to nutritious food which meets their nutritional needs for active and healthy lives.

                                                                                                    June 25, 2013
Dear Mr. President,
This is a letter about requesting to our respected president for better living of the Filipinos.
Being a president is an arduous job as everyone knows. They have limitless problems which is unlikely to us. You, Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, are one of them. One of the most difficult problems you are having is how would people get jobs, because we all know that looking for a job is harder than studying. There are only a few spaces for jobs now and it will be hard for the graduating students to find a job.
So, may I request your good office to please provide more opportunities for the Filipinos so that the future graduates like us will have the chance to work for our future and a chance to serve the government for the betterment of our country.
                                                                                                    Respectfully yours,
                                                                                                    Jolina Perilla
